- 을/를 통해서

  → The verb meaning 'to pass through something or to use something as a medium' is used as a form of '-을/를 통해서', which means 'the latter action is taking place through a thing, a person or a certain period of time.'

Example: 

1. 아는 사람을 통해서 전화번호를 알았어요.
I got a telephone number through someone I know.

2. 두 사람이 쓴 글을 통해서 차이를 비교할 수 있었어요.
I was able to compare the two of them through their writing.

3. 조선 왕조를 통해 세종만큼 위대한 통치자는 없었다. 

King Sejong the Great was the greatest ruler among the kings of the Joseon Dynasty.

4. 신문을 통해 매일매일 뉴스를 알 수 있어요.

Through the newspaper can find information every day.

5. 인터넷을 통해 다른 사람들과 정보를 교환할 수 있어요.

Through the Internet, you can exchange information with other people.
